About Us
Joy Community Church is a church where we seek the Lord in prayer together (Psalm 27:8), praise God with truthful and Spirit-filled worship (John 4:24), hear the powerful, life-changing message of the Gospel preached weekly (Romans 1:16), and find true community in groups (Hebrews 10:24-25) as we obediently pursue our mission to make disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our Culture
We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic church. Our members come from a lot of different backgrounds and we welcome our visitors of every background. Most people dress casual or business-casual on a typical week. We encourage you to come as you are! Our members are joyful, welcoming, and eager to greet those who visit. We encourage guests to come early and/or stay late (as you feel comfortable) in order to get to know us. We believe you will certainly feel welcome!
Our Services
Our worship gatherings begin at 9:30am and typically last about an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half. Our time is prayerfully and carefully considered each week and designed to give our attention to God and His Word. During our time together, we will read Scripture, sing Christ-centered songs, participate in intentional time of corporate prayer (where members and visitors are encouraged to take part by praying aloud from their seats as they are led), exalt Jesus, devote ourselves to preaching God's Word, and exhorting one another to obedience to Scripture.
Our Preaching
Sermons at Joy Community Church are Christ-centered and expositional in nature, which means that they are preached in order to rightfully explain the specific intent and truth of a specific passage. We most often preach books of the Bible verse by verse, making sure to deal with each passage in turn. However, we will sometimes emphasize a specific biblical theme rather than walk through a book of the Bible verse to verse. However, even in these cases, the focus of the message is on what God’s Word specifically says. Our preaching is Christ-centered because it is our belief that all of Scripture is ultimately about Jesus, whether He is anticipated in the Old Testament, or in the light of His coming or second coming in the New Testament. We are careful to make sure in all of our preaching to lift up and exalt the Lord Jesus.
After Morning Worship
After our worship gathering ends, our pastors intentionally make themselves available at the back of the worship center for those who would like to talk about their spiritual life or ask for prayer. Everyone who wants to is welcome to come speak with a pastor. As time permits, we do encourage you to stay after worship to get to know others. We have Community Groups on different days of the week and we would love for you to join us for one of these. More information about these or other activities can be found in our printed materials if you visit us for worship. Be sure to pick up a bulletin and/or a newsletter to see what sorts of opportunities there are to connect further with us.
